As part of Cowgate Republic we are launching Cowgate Press, an independent publishing house, in 2019. Cowgate Press will be small, ambitious and innovative. Giving a voice to the silenced and the marginalised. Sharing with the world the very best of working class writing, old and new.
Cowgate Press will publish across various formats and several genres. Already we have committed to publishing plays, poetry, memoir and fiction over a timescale agreed with Cowgate Republic and consistent with our progressive and inclusive ethos.
As with all Cowgate Republic initiatives our publishing house is committed to working collaboratively with others with similar aims and approaches. We also encourage partnership working and endeavour to create a space for radical, collective thinking with a social agenda.
